As we explored the beautiful Table Mountain, human friendly Dassie (pronounced Dussie) roamed about the summit.

We visited the prison Nelson Mandela was held at for 18 years, pictured here is the barbed wire surrounding the area used to torture prisoners.
Here is the window of Mandela’s cell from the yard in which prisoners were forced into hard labor. The far corner of the courtyard was know as Mandela’s garden where he wrote his memoir.
We visited the popular Boulder Beach to see hundreds of penguins who had migrated from Antarctica.
The group shopped in the local market outside our hotel, Inn at the Square, finding gifts and bartering with the local shop keepers.
